Skull fracture causes
Skull fractures occur when you hit your head with enough force to break the bone. In an accident, your body is at a high rate of motion and so when your head collides with any component in your vehicle, it can break your skull.
Skull fracture symptoms
Sometimes a skull fracture is visible. Other times, you have to watch out for the symptoms. These symptoms may include bruising around the injury or dark circles under the eyes. In addition, you may experience severe pain and swelling at the site, along with redness and warmth. In some instances, you may also bleed from the wound and around your eyes, ears and nose. Other symptoms may include headaches, blurred vision, vomiting, nausea, fainting and confusion. An examination or x-ray is the best way to determine skull fractures.
