Attorneys say shooting survivors intend to file lawsuit

Some people in New York may have heard that on August 26, there was a deadly shooting at a Florida video game tournament. On Aug. 28, attorneys announced that some survivors would be filing a lawsuit although they did not say who would be targeted in the lawsuit.

7-car wreck in Queens leaves 1 dead, 5 hospitalized

On August 18, a seven-car accident in New York left one person dead and five other people hospitalized. The accident occurred around 4:15 a.m. on the Van Wyck Expressway in Queens and was precipitated by a 29-year-old man driving a 2011 Chevrolet who reportedly sideswiped a woman driving a 2012 Acura sedan.

How fatigue impacts drivers

Operating a motor vehicle after being awake for more than 20 hours is the equivalent of driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent. This is the legal limit in New York and all other states. Furthermore, a person is three times more likely to get into a crash when he or she drives while tired.

Head-on crash in New York leaves 4 seriously injured

Media outlets in New York have reported that four people were seriously injured in a head-on collision in Wayne County on the evening of July 21. A representative from the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said that the investigation into the crash was ongoing. The accident took place on Ridge Road in the Town of Wolcott at approximately 6:30 p.m.
